Roy Orr's lifelong love of natural beauty was instilled in him as a young boy at his grandfather’s knee in his carpentry shop. While employed as an executive, he has continued to hone his skills in his spare time. Now retired, he devotes full attention to his craft. The art furniture he creates reflects the wood's natural beauty and his flowing designs follow the natural shape and grain of the wood.           Orriginals by Roy Orr are one-of-a-kind heirloom quality made to order masterpieces.  Each one-of-a-kind woodwork is marked with a cast bronze plaquard. Orr’s furniture designs are originals accented by the influential nuances of woodworks by Sam Maloof, David Marks and Green & Green. Black walnut, cherry and figured maple are featured in many of the artists designs but a variety of domestic and exotic hardwoods are always available by client requests. A great deal of care is taken when hand selecting hardwoods to match patterns wherever possible. Most furnishings are finished in hand rubbed oil and poly blend to bring out a smooth feel and accent the figures of the selected woods.
