Table

Several years ago I came across the three uniquely curved pieces of walnut, used for the table top, in a pile of wood that had been left to rot and decay.  It was in very poor condition but I was intrigued by the curvature of the wood since walnut is typically a strait growing tree.  Also finding three matched pieces from the same tree is a real treat.

Hoping to salvage enough for possibly a bench or small coffee table I brought it back to my shop where it stood in a corner until recently when I found the walnut crotch-wood, used for the legs.  The natural shape of the curved top and crotch wood legs as well as other natural imperfections in the wood give the table a rustic, yet elegant appearance.
